literally, like every single person,ever.
your family, friends, acquaintances,mortal enemies-everyone.
heres what i think:
familys family. theyre the only people that probably know you inside-out. they know you at your best and worst. theyre the ones who will be brutally honest with you, because they know you know its out of love. and we should all know unconditional love.
as nutty as mine is, i cant image my life without any of them. ever.
(dont think im saying theyre more important than your friends. actually, when you think about it, what do you consider your very best friends to be? thats right-family. uh huh.)
i have a very, very tiny group of friends. i think theyre all a little nutty too by the way-that ones more of a 'birds of a feather flock together' sort of theory anyway. but i am definitely grateful for each and everyone one of them. i know 2people who i love to talk sh*t with-we can just sit, people watch, and have something mean to say about each person that walks by. now, i know thats horribly mean, but theyre the only people i know who have the same mean thought going through their heads at the exact same time i do.

and theyve all taught me something (whether it was something that was missing or even something that i had yet to experience)-love, faith, understanding, romance, forgiveness, loyalty, fearlessness...theyve all brought something into my life that would be missing had it not been for them.
well, that and theyve proven that 'six degrees of separation' thing over and over and over again. its a little freaky actually.
acquaintances are people who have yet to become your friends. give it time. a friend of a friend will eventually become your friend too. and you never know-that acquaintance could later become your best friend, and teach you a little something about life along the way.
mortal enemies are there to remind us of who we dont ever want to be. thats why we despise them so much.
and how 'pot calling the kettle black' would that be if we acted like them?
exactly.
so think about all those people in your life. and the ones that mean the most to you, tell them. i had a friend who meant more to me than i knew, and if i could thank him, i would. he taught me about passion. sadly, he passed away a few years ago. even then, he wasnt done with his 'reason for being in my life'. i learned about tomorrows: you might not always have them. you have to make sure you make the most of your today-if theres something you want to do, say, be, whatever, do it. say it. be it. now. because you might not have that tomorrow to try again. if i could, id tell him how grateful i am to have had him in my life, but im hoping he knows.
if you have someone in your life who has made your life richer, tell him. if you have someone in your life whos taught you a valuable lesson, say 'thank you.' and if its just someone youre glad to know, by all means, treat him to a cup of coffee XD
