i hate it when i stick my foot in my mouth.
want to know why?
its because i have a tendency to not only stick my foot in there, but the whole freaking leg =l
*sigh*
liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike...last night i was editing some paperwork for a friend (lets call him Roscoe, just because i think its an awesome name), and because i was in the company of a someone else, he gave me a 2nd opinion on the writing style.
now, this someone else and i dont have the same styles-his is very 'to the point' whereas my style tends to explicate everything. literally.
so instead of being like "ok. thanks for your opinion" i decided to try and say mine was better.
yup. there go the toes.
hes stubborn too, so the 'battle' was on =l
heres where the whole leg comes in: we had totally different english classes in high school and seeing as how we had such different styles, i asked him who he had for english. but of course, being the b*tch that i am, i totally sounded like i was implying that i was smarter.
hence the whole leg.
my friends a little hard to read at times, so i couldnt really tell how annoyed he was, but dang, did i feel like a jerk after.
still do if you want to know the truth.
i wonder why people (me in particular) do that? the whole foot in the mouth thing? are we trying to make ourselves sound smarter? better? are we really that insecure? or just SUPER lame in not paying attention to what were saying?
all i have going through my head as it shakes from left to right is, 'dang. think before you speak next time...dumb@ss'
dang.
